If sailing out of Barcelona on Royal Carribean try to identify the manager responsible for confirming accommodation / cabins etc. (usually just inside the exit doors on the left as you leave the main hall after registration). Ask if it is possible to upgrade your cabin. You may be suprised at what is on offer. An upgrade from a double bed stateroom with balcony to a double room with lounge and extended balcony was $400. At $40 a day it was a bargain.(Thanks To John Rodway)
fantastic city although been there many times before, but nothing changes. Did the open top bus tour, not through P and O but ourselves very inexpensive and you also got head phones included in the price for if my memory serves me right about 6 euro's, well worth the tour.(Thanks To Tracey Britten)

La Coruna we took the excursion to Santiago di Compostello which was very interesting including the massive crucible which swings over your head. The guide was very good and explained about the various building and the pilgrims who go there. Alot of the shops on the way to the cathedral make cakes with the distinctive scallop shape on associated with pilgrims and they are outside the shops handing out samples to everyone who passes. ( thanks to Lyn Claridge King )

The ship docks close to the main centre, which is just a short walk away. The tourist centre on the dock is worth a visit for the souvenir shops for gifts to take back.
