General Information about Aruba.

Aruba, one of the Netherlands Antilles, is not far off Venezuela in the southern Caribbean it's Hot, it's also very arid away from the coastal strip, mostly cactus and dividivi trees. For the non-sporty there wasn't much to do outside the hotels, casino's and beaches. Watersports are a huge attraction-diving, snorkelling, surfing - and Palm Beach is lovely, great for an afternoon splash about ( about 3 miles NE of Oranjestad). For the non sporty there are coach trips, (a half day was enough for me) which should include the Natural Bridge. Tourist shopping is available a short walk from Oranjestad cruise dock. It's fine for a cruise stop, but if you're not interested in the activities above, then not for your whole holiday. Would I go again ? - only if a cruise happened to include it.(With thanks to Lizz)
